E-invoice statuses and rejections

What each status means and what to do if an e-invoice fails.

Updated

Each e-invoice shows its status on the invoice and in Bills β†’ Invoices.

  • Validated β€” passed all checks and is ready to send.
  • Sent β€” delivered to your customer's access point.
  • Reported β€” the invoice data was accepted by the tax authority.
  • Accepted β€” your customer's system acknowledged it.
  • Rejected β€” the customer rejected it. The reason is shown on the invoice.
  • Failed β€” delivery or reporting didn't complete. Flick retries automatically and tells you if it needs action.

Fixing a rejected invoice

  1. Read the reason on the invoice.
  2. Create a credit note for the rejected invoice.
  3. Issue a corrected invoice.
